Touch lives by delivering food to seniors just once or twice a month through the ROOTS program. Services help senior citizens stretch their income and maintain health with nutritious food. Typical monthly commitment is for three hours or less.

Phone receptionists are needed for just three or four hours a week (morning or afternoon) at Missoula’s American Cancer Society office to answer phones and greet the public. The RSVP Action Task Force offers opportunities to support and strengthen our community by assisting with emergency preparedness; education, mock drills, immunization clinics, emergency call centers, evacuation centers or aiding vulnerable populations during a disaster. A wide array of roles are available if you like to help behind the scenes, plan and lead projects or use specific technical skills. This key volunteer position requires computer and Internet search skills as well as adherence to professional confidentiality standards and a weekly commitment of four hours. Earn a small stipend while volunteering. Enjoy being a Senior Companion and earn a little money. These volunteers work one-to-one with homebound elderly, assisting with light transportation and providing friendly companionship. This help allows recipients to stay at home rather than being institutionalized, which results in major health care savings for seniors, their families and communities.
