The Big Rollout: TP Western Montana!
A drive to collect toilet paper for distribution through food banks in western Montana kicked off on Thursday, July 15 at Caras Park in Missoula.
The official start of the second annual Big Rollout is part the Western Montana Volunteer Center's (WMVC) volunteer recognition event taking place during "Downtown Tonight." The end date is September11, designated a National Day of Service.
Last year more than 4,000 rolls of toilet paper were collected for the Missoula Food Bank during the monthlong "Big Rollout." Can the community "roll out" 5,000 rolls in the 2010 drive?
Missoula Aging Services (MAS) and the WMVC coordinate collections for Missoula. Residents of Lake, Mineral, Lincoln, Sanders, Flathead and Ravalli counties participate in their areas, too, thanks to AmeriCorps, Foster Grandparent, RSVP and Senior Companion programs throughout western Montana.
